Bachman earns state wrestling bid

Charlotte Koether, who qualified for state last year as a freshman, just missed a return bid this time around after placing third at 125 pounds.

Bulldog freshman Aaliyah Corcoran placed fourth at 105 pounds.

Kenneth Chester Kuehl, 90, of Farmersburg, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at MercyOne Hospital in Elkader. Kenneth was born Nov. 9, 1935, to Louis and Grace (Bowman) Kuehl in Elkport. His schooling started at Volga #3 Country School, being taught by his Aunt Olie Kuehl from kindergarten through the eighth grade. Kenny attended Colesburg High School for ninth and 10th grade and Elkader High School for 11th and 12th grade, graduating with the class of 1954.
