The Prairie du Chien boys basketball team was back at home last Friday, Feb. 26 as the Hawks entertained the Dodgeville Dodgers on senior night.

The Dodgers handed the Hawks a 88-30 defeat to conclude the regular season. The win, combined with River Valley’s road win at Lancaster made Dodgeville, Lancaster and Platteville boys basketball teams the tri-champs of the SWC this season with identical 7-3 conference records.

The Hawks, who finished the regular season with a 1-23 overall record and 0-10 in the SWC, were led in scoring by Sam Kramer with seven points.

He was followed by Brock Folsom with six points (along with a team high five rebounds), Steven Duha (five points), Cayden Sutter (four points), Garrett DeHart and the trio of Brice Krachey, Elias Kimbler and Mike Jazdzewski with two points each.

Prairie du Chien began postseason play this past Tuesday night at Cuba City High School. The winner of that matchup will travel to Iowa-Grant this Friday night to face the fourth seed Panthers in the regional semifinal round.
