MFL MarMac couldn’t get past Dike-New Hartford in the Class 2A boys basketball postseason opener in Monona on Feb. 16. 

 

The Wolverines pulled away early, eventually winning 86-61, despite nearly 45 percent shooting from the Bulldogs. 

 

Senior Carter Lightfoot led MFL MarMac with 26 points, along the way clinching 1,000 career points. His three assists were among team leaders that night, and he had one each in the rebound, steal and block columns.

 

Senior Wesley Corlett secured another double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. He also had team highs with six steals, four assists and three blocks.

 

Junior Tristan Bacon hit a pair of three-pointers for six of his eight points. He picked up two assists and a rebound as well. 

 

Senior Carsten Pester chipped in six points off the bench—all coming from behind the arc—and had two rebounds and a block.

 

The Bulldogs finished the season 12-10.
